My name is Janel Tucker and I am starting my 11th year at ILE teaching first grade. I live in Henders

It is a little boy and we are so excited for this addition to our family!I received my Bachelors degree in math and music education from Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, MI. I student taught in fifth grade at Indian Lake and second grade at Walton Ferry. After one year of teaching I went back to school to get my Masters in general education from Cumberland University.
I have many hobbies. Some of my favorites are crafting (sewing and scrapbooking), gardening, playing both the flute and handbells at church, and working outside or in the garden with my husband!
Teaching is my passion and I enjoy every minute of it. It is extremely rewarding and each day brings new challenges.
